This is normal but it has nothing to do with PP2000. There are zillion way how playback can pick up 60 and 120 cycles ground loops, the PP2000 is just one of the ingredients and from Ground perspective has to be treated no different than any other 3 ...

This morning I was listening Messiaen’s Tarantella-Symphony powering system from the bare AC lines. It was far from the sound I would like to have and I decided one more time to insult myself with PP2000. This time I decided to take another PP2000 un...

More days came, with different electricity and it looks l like the PP2011 hold its stand – I did not detect a significant change in Sound so far. I gave a scoop plagued in the wall all time and I did not see so far a relation between the wave profile...
Debating the everlasting Leo Tolstoy’s question “How Much Land Does a Man Need?” I wondering how many and what kind PP I would need. I am debating options: to get two more PP200 or one more PP3000. I wonder if anyone used...

Well i've been using this fine piece of equipment now for nearly 2 years with total satisfaction. My class D Nuforce SE V3 amps love the clean clear power. As i use my PP2000 for my whole system so does all other components in the audio chain. For th...
This is of great interest to me. I'm having a dedicated mains circuit installed and was wondering whether the PP2000 would simply corrupt the line that feeds it. Romy, any idea how best to measure such 'dirt' going back int...

Since my playback is officially down I decided to give up my PP2000 for a local audio guy. He guy live in rural aria but has notoriously bad electricity and for many years was trying virtually anything but still what I visited him he always had v...

A local audio guy what live in city bought PP2000. I visited him last night to see how it worked. He has the newest version of PP2000 that he was waiting for 3-4 months or so. His newest unit has output circuit barkers, run at least with 3 times le...

Have a hum through my center channel speaker, the SET amp of which sits directly in front of the pp200 about a foot away. It is not relaTED to the DC offset of the 2000 as adjusting that does nothing to the hum, and running the amp from the wall rat...

It's not a grounding problem, but purely 60 HZ RF coming off the 2000. And it's only one amp that seems to be affected as a second SET on top of that one doesn't produce the hum. Of course that could be because it's a tweeter amp working above 9000HZ...

Clark: You heard what units can do in my place.Romy: Took your advice and added high frequency rolloff to the woofers. The sound did clean up the way you predicted. Now if I can get my subwoofer amplifier back asnd rebalance the system.Paul: Am erxtr...

One opf my amps buzzed when connected to the Pure Power but it was due to the fact that the manufacturer forgot to laquer the lams on an inductor.Have run bot my and Romy's units up to 100%, and even shut down Romy's unit overdriving it with as Crown...
First of all I feel that PP2000 is slightly “released” some HF.
The reported “softness” of PP2000 came with some HF roll off. I drive my MF amps much harder while I use PP2000 and it was a good help but still there ...
Well, it gave me a chuckle. I will be interested to hear about the listening results, considering I have just bought a PP2000, which should be here in a few days. Will I have to buy a Avicenna now also? Adrian
Adrian, I d...

After the endless battles with bad electricity, great news that you have found one, and possibly two, good solutions. I can vouch for the terrible electrical infrastructure and great radio stations Boston has to offer. Some days my system sounds pr...
Adrian, you mentioned a while back that you'd taken The Plunge. How goes your own test? You've never mentioned it again.Paul S
Paul, before I had a chance to take the PP2000 out of the box, I had to have surgery for a knee...
No, the ceiling fan switch is not supposed to read through the PP 2000. But, that's Showbiz, or so I'm told.No doubt APS has loads to say about it, as ever...Paul S
Actually the ground issue is not too much of a prob...
Is your “noticeable ever-present buzz” coming from loudspeakers (I mean is it acoustic noise) or is it a mechanical noise that coming from regenerator and it comes from your component plagued into the regenerator. In first ...
the hum people apparently pick their own ground loops that too masked in noise without PP2000.
It is not exactly correct. There is 60 Hz hum eliminated by lifting the ground to the amplifiers. The neutral is connec...
When a PP2000 is unplugged from the wall and runs from the battery it is not that PP2000 is unplugged but the ground via PP2000 is unplugged. You most likely have no noise because you have another path to ground and your sy...
Did so cause i was still using my BPT for everything but my amps. I had a hum and high pitch buzz from my speakers. Replacing the power cord feeding my amps was the cure.
There was some mild 60 cycle hum which was elimin...
It is confusing, but the NEUTRAL is not only "referenced to ground", but in properly-designed components it is THE ground. If the PP2000 is a 120V device with a 3-prong plug, then it has 2 references to ground within its chassis,...

As I said before, in many if not all instances the provisions for “bad electricity” are deeply entrenched into the design of our playbacks. A few days back I took advantages of some new possibilities that PP2000 offered and made some changes in playb...

Every day that I listen to my system, I thank God for Romy's perseverance with the pp2000. For the past 25 years I've fought the crappy electricity that comes to my house in the woods with everything from banks of 8 massive 2 and 3 KVA isolation tran...

Very interesting. Mine are 6 feet apart with the left and right controlling the amps on top of their own cabinets with source equipment and amps at least 3 feet away. The middle one supplying the source components sits on top of my main stand directl...

I got my last PP2000, after the repair was done. My second new unit works since I got it repaired; it runs the whole playback, sounding very well and my attempts to add a second PP2000 led, as I described to worsening of sound. In the very deep core ...
Well, this is consistent with the behavior I have. I can hear electrical devices behind the PP, especially those of the switching PS type: computer screen, laptop charger, DSL box, printer, SAT decoder... Good luck finding electron...
Adrian, may I assume that if your unit was finally sorted out, then you would have said as much by now?
The issue is unresolved. The unit still emits a buzzing sound when it is plugged in. I have sent a few e-mails to APS ...
